My name is Sandy and I am a sweet girl.  I was found tied to a shelter's door in the really bad heat a couple of weeks back.  Luckily a nice person drove by and saw me there and took me home for the night so I could have some food and water and a soft place to sleep.  Then I went back to the shelter the next day.  After a while I ran out of time, but the rescue people came to get me.  I am so glad!  I get to eat twice a day and I am already putting on weight.  I get along with other dogs and I love children.  I would be a great dog to grow up with! I weigh about 30 pounds and should get a little bigger but not very tall.  I have already learned how to sit (well, most of the time - I'm working on it).  Give me a chance!  Visit www.rockbridgedogrescue.org for an application!

We highly recommend some kind of fencing for your dog's safety. We will check your vet reference and if everything looks good at that point we will bring her to your house for a visit to see how she gets along with your family, other pets, etc... RDR will not adopt Sandy to a home where she will live or sleep outside any time of the year, or will be used as a hunting dog, a guard dog, or for any purpose other than as a family pet and companion.
